Trinity Lutheran Church Day Camp -- We will again be offering to the community a Day Camp led by the staff from Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp. If you know of a child, grandchild, friend or neighbor who would like to attend camp this year, please contact Tanda McCombe. We are really looking forward to working with First Presbyterian Church who graciously accepted our invitation to help/participate in our Day Camp. Day Camp will be held from Monday, July 29th through Friday, August 2nd at Trinity Lutheran Church. Through the continued generosity of the members here at Trinity, we will not be charging anyone to attend camp.
For more info: Pastor Davis at 505-325-1179 or Tanda (coordinator) at 719-661-3801

Sign-up sheets have been posted on one of the bulletin boards in the Fellowship Hall soliciting help from members of the congregation to host the four camp counselors in their home. Also, for those who would like to provide dinner for these young people, a sign-up sheet has been posted as well. If you would like to help in some capacity during Day Camp, please contact either Tanda or Pastor Davis.

BLESSING BAGS – We are running low on supplies for our Blessing Bags. We need the following donations: Small bottles of water, juice packs, tuna salad boxes w/crackers, flavored tuna in a pouch, vienna sausage, apple sauce, pudding, handi-wipe packs, fruit, jello w/fruit, small packages of crackers, hard candy, spoons, and gallon-sized bags.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLEANING & ARRANGING- Tanda McCombe and Jane Ford will be taking the lead on helping to clean and arrange our Sunday School rooms before the week of Day Camp. They are asking other members in the congregation to come and help them on Saturday, June 1st from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

VOLUNTEERS are needed to help serve at Daily Bread on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays of each month. A sign-up sheet has been posted on the “Volunteer” bulletin board for those who would like to help.

CAPITAL FUND DRIVE: For those members who would like to contribute toward the Sanctuary renovation project, special offering envelopes will be provided with the caption "Capital Fund Drive" on each envelope. Packets of twelve envelopes will be provided for each member for this purpose. These envelopes may be found on the table where the bulletins are usually located. Also, a family has come forward to challenge the congregation to match funds up to $5,000 for this project.

If you do not want to use these envelopes, please make your check out to Trinity Lutheran Church and write in the left-hand corner of your check "Capital Fund Drive" or if you want to use your regular offering envelopes, please draw a dark line through “debt reduction” and write “Capital fund drive” or write “Capital fund drive” next to the word “Designated”. This will help our counters and our Church treasurer know where these funds need to be placed in our accounts.

PASTOR ON VACATION - Pastor and Luanne will be going on vacation from June 9th through June 28th. We will still have our regular two services with Debbi Gregory leading the services on June 16th and Rev. Art Meyer leading the services on June 23rd.

BLESSING BAGS – Please pick up a few blessing bags to put in your car. If you find someone in need in our community, please pass these bags on with our prayers and blessings.

Living Lutheran - This is the magazine put out by the ELCA to all congregations to keep them informed of what's going on in our church and abroad. The Church Council and Pastor have been receiving copies of this periodical and would like to make them available to anyone in the congregation interested in having a copy. They will be placed in one of the slots where the devotionals/bulletins usually can be found. When available, please feel free to pick one up.
